SIEP SCHOLARSHIPS OFFER RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES

IN ENGLAND

Are you an Emory University Faculty or Post-doctoral Fellow? Would you like to spend 3 to 6 months of the 2009-2010 academic year in the west of England participating in cutting-edge scientific research? Emory University and the University of Bath are now accepting applications for the Raymond F. Schinazi International Exchange Program (SIEP), which focuses on expanding scientific research opportunities for courageous scientists by providing them with mentoring personnel, research facilities and training not readily available to them, through an international faculty and post-doctoral exchange program. Funds will be provided to the successful applicant for travel, lodging and research.

SIEP provides research support within the following areas of scientific excellence:

                      Drug discovery;

                      Vaccine development;

                      High throughput screening;

                      Molecular modeling;

                      Technology transfer; and

                      Genomics and Proteomics.

The application deadline is Monday, June 22nd, 2009, for the 2009-2010 academic cycle. Applicants must be full-time or part-time (at least 50%) Emory University faculty or post-doctoral fellows, with their role focused on scientific research. Emory applicants should identify a scientist at Bath University with whom they would like to do research.
