Fellowship : Atlanta

Atlanta boasts an urban sophistication, but retains its Southern charm. Quiet residential areas mingle with efficient rapid rail lines, tree-lined streets accentuate a modern skyline and history can be found both within and outside the city limits. Atlanta has become a city of opportunity, offering both career and lifestyle possibilities, as well as a diverse and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Piedmont Park
Piemont Park, Midtown Atlanta

The weather in Atlanta is mild, with average temperatures ranging in the 40's in winter to the 80's in summer. Winter may occasionally bring a light snow, and summer water activities can be comfortably enjoyed from May through September. The average annual rainfall in the Atlanta area is 48 inches.

Atlanta offers a wide range of outdoor recreational activities. Lakes and rivers provide for fishing and swimming, beautiful parks beckon picnickers and just north of the city mountains --- hiking, camping and beautiful scenery. Atlanta is but a few hours away from the coastal communities and resorts of Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Alabama.

Stone Mountain
Stone Mountain Park

Cultural activities in the city include theatre, art museums, symphonies, and historic sites such as the Carter Library and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. For the kid at heart Six Flags Over Georgia and Zoo Atlanta offer amusement park entertainment. Atlanta is a sports lover's paradise with college and professional teams offering baseball, football, even ice hockey.

Centennial Park, Downtown

Atlanta truly is a place for everyone. It is a thriving, livable area that strives to provide a comfortable, yet exciting place to call home.
