system (egs., Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Radiology,
Pediatric Surgery,Oral Surgery, Allergy & Immunology, Cardiology, Dermatology,
Genetics, Endocrinology, Gastroenteritis, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious
Disease, Neurology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary, Nephrology, Sports Medicine, and
Sexual/Physical Abuse). It will also be possible to pursue electives at other
institutions, including The National PEM Fellowship Exchange Program.
Electives
may also be dedicated solely to research endeavors.
In addition, a 12-week Introduction to research symposium
is held annually and participation is mandatory.
Vacation
and conference time can be taken during “non-call” elective
months.
