Fellowship Training

Division Chief Welcome

Endocrinology calls for a unique breed of doctor. We are not satisfied by just making our patients healthier, but rather have the need to understand why they become sick in the first place. As we gain a better understanding of disease pathogenesis, we become better prepared to manage the next “tough case.” We “major” in Endocrinology, but we “minor” in Cellular and Molecular Biology, Genetics & Metabolism, Biochemistry, Immunology, Laboratory Medicine, Nutrition, Social Work, and Psychology. Despite practicing pediatric endocrinology since 1987, I still learn something new from my patients and colleagues every day.
