Fellowship Overview
The primary goal of our fellowship program is to train academic pediatric gastroenterologists. Our definition of academic
gastroenterologists includes those who are excellent clinicians encompassing skills in broad aspects of evaluation,
diagnosis, and management of primary and secondary disease of the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, our definition
includes those who are active in advancing the field of gastroenterology by participating in research and education,
or both.
Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Fellowship Program:
At Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, three-year fellowships in pediatric gastroenterology are offered in collaboration
with Emory University School of Medicine to qualified promising physicians.
Our goal is to train academically oriented pediatric gastroenterologists who will be involved in a lifetime of excellence
in patient care, teaching and research (i.e., epidemiological, outcomes, translational or basic).
