Medical Complications Associated with Extreme Prematurity

The following medical complications are associated with extreme prematurity and increase the risk of developmental difficulties:

Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD)

Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP)

Intraventricular Hemorrhage (IVH), Periventricular Leukomalacia (PVL), & other brain injury

Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC)

Infections
