  • Children's at Egleston is a state of the art 255 bed free standing children's hospital. The facility includes 108 ICU beds for four separate dedicated units comprised of pediatric, neonatal, cardiac and technology dependent intensive care units. These are supported by land based, helicopter and fixed wing emergency transport services. An emergency surgical suite adjacent to the heliport is available to stabilize patients prior to transfer to the main operating room complex. A busy emergency department is situated between the operating room and radiology suites. The hospital contains comprehensive diagnostic services including laboratory, imaging and electrophysiologic modalities.
  • Children's at Scottish Rite is a 250 bed free standing children's hospital. The facility includes 72 ICU beds for three separate dedicated units comprised of pediatric, neonatal and technology dependent intensive care units. These are supported by land based, helicopter and fixed wing emergency transport services. An emergency surgical suite adjacent to the heliport is available to stabilize patients prior to transfer to the main operating room complex. A busy emergency department is situated between operating room and radiology suites. The hospital contains comprehensive diagnostic services including laboratory, imaging and electrophysiologic modalities.
  • Emory University Hospital is a 597-bed, adult tertiary care facility serving the metropolitan Atlanta area as well as the state of Georgia and surrounding region. The hospital contains 24 single occupancy neurology and neurosurgery rooms on floors 2G and 3G with dedicated neuroscience nursing. The area includes 6 epilepsy monitoring units (video/EEG), and all rooms are “hard wired” to a central reading station. Six beds are equipped to allow respiratory and hemodynamic patient monitoring and act as an “intermediate unit” for more intense patient monitoring. An additional 4 portable monitoring units are available for use in the ICU or on other care units. Intraoperative monitoring is also performed by Neurology staff. There is an out-patient/in-patient neuro-diagnostic laboratory on 2G housing 4 EEG/EP rooms which can also be utilized for sleep studies at night and one room dedicated to trans-cranial doppler studies. In addition, there is an area for on-line visual monitoring of both the patient and the data as well as a room used by the resident/fellow for data interpretation. There are also 20 neurology and neurosurgery ICU beds staffed by 2 full-time neuro-intensivists and appropriately trained nurse practitioners and nurses. Support facilities include a full-service neuro-radiology division with expertise in CT, MRI, diagnostic angiography, and interventional neuro-radiology. Neurosurgical consultation is available at all times, as are other specialty consultation services. The hospital includes 47 and 56 psychiatry and rehabilitation beds, respectively. The Emory Clinic is an out-patient facility directly across the street from Emory University Hospital. Neurology is housed on the 3rd floor. There are 16 examination/consultation rooms and 3 EMG/NCV laboratory rooms and 2 daytime EEG rooms.
  • Children’s Specialty Services, most outpatient activity for the Division takes place outside the hospital at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta-Specialty Services Outpatient Clinic located at the North Druid Hills Campus at 1605 Chantilly Drive and Scottish Rite Campus at 975 Johnson’s Ferry Road. The outpatient clinic at North Druid Hills consists of reception and waiting areas, 13 exam rooms, additional individual meeting rooms, one conference room, and office space for residents and faculty. Outpatient EEG and phlebotomy services are performed on site. The outpatient clinic Scottish Rite consists of reception and waiting area, seven exam rooms, one meeting room, family meeting rooms and work/resource area for all staff and clinician. The pediatric neurology resident continuity clinic meets weekly at this clinic.
  • Grady Memorial Hospital, with over 1100 beds, is one of the largest general hospitals in the world. Located in the heart of the historic "Sweet Auburn" district of downtown Atlanta only five miles from Emory, Grady serves the populations of Fulton and DeKalb counties. Here, residents are exposed to the entire spectrum of acute neurological disease and assume major responsibility for patient care, both on the neurology inpatient service and the hospital-wide neurology consultation service. The Neurology outpatient clinics and inpatient service are conveniently located on the same floor alongside our neurophysiology laboratories, an up-to-date departmental library, call rooms, and faculty offices.
