Research Interests
Dr. Gold's principal research focus is the etiopathogenesis and epidemiology of Helicobacter pylori in gastroduodenal (ulcers, gastritis) disease in children. A secondary related focus involves the epidemiology of gastroesophageal reflux disease in children. Finally, more recent related research efforts center on the role of infectious agents in pediatric Crohn's disease.
