- Welcome to our New Faculty
- Dr. David Carlton, MD, Professor of Pediatrics, Director, Division of
Neonatology
Dr. Carlton received his B.Ch.E. degree from Georgia Tech and his M.D. degree from Emory University
where he also completed his Pediatric Residency. He received his Neonatology training at UCSF and was on the faculty
at the University of Utah and then the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he was also the Division Director. He
is internationally recognized for his expertise in lung pathophysiology.
- Dr. Andrew Muir, MD, Professor of Pediatrics, Director, Division of Pediatric Endocrinology
Dr. Muir received his undergraduate and medical training at the University of Toronto, his pediatric residency
at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, his training in Pediatric Endocrinology at Washington University
in St. Louis. He was on the faculty at the University of Florida and the Medical College of Georgia, where he
was the Division Director before coming to Emory. Dr. Muir is considered an authority on the management of
diabetic ketoacidosis and on the immunology of childhood onset diabetes.
