Postings Open Positions

Open Recruitment requires positions to be posted online at Emory Careers website. This is the preferred method of posting positions. Hiring managers are encouraged to interview at least 3 individuals per opening.

Student employees can be any full-time or part-time Emory student who works for Emory University for pay. Emory students can be hired as work-study student employees or regular student employees. Students hired as work-study student employees, must have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) monies. The department will pay 30% of their salary. More information can be found at www.emory.edu/FINANCIAL_AID/student_employment/types-of-employment.php. Non-FWS student hires will be paid 100% by the department.

DOP HR can also assist with the hiring of non-Emory students. These employees will be hired as staff with the title of Non-Emory student. They can be high school, undergraduate or graduate students who are still enrolled in school. Emory will not employ anyone under the age of 16. No one under 18 may work in laboratories in positions that deemed hazardous by Central HR.

HIRING TEMPORARY STAFF
DOP HR may utilize Emory Temporary Services (ETS) to recruit for your temporary staffing needs. Emory Temporary Services (ETS) is the internal source for temporary staffing across the Emory community.

If your temporary staff needs will last mover 6 months, we will hire the person as a departmental temp and they will be eligible for benefits.
