The
Pediatric Residency Training Program loves hearing from our former
residents. We routinely receive phone calls and family photos from
all over the country. If you have moved or will be relocating, please
contact the program office so that we can maintain accurate contact
information.
Ways you can still be involved:
Locally, we have 26 general pediatricians who precept our residents
in primary care in their offices/clinics. The overwhelming majority
of these preceptors are Emory Training Program graduates. Their contributions
to the training program are immense and we could not be more appreciative.
If you are interested in having a resident in your practices for a
4-week elective block, just let us know here at the program office.
It doesn’t have to be a primary care office. Subspecialists
are also very welcome. As you can see on other pages of our website
(outcomes page), our residents go on to pursue a wide variety of career
interests. We believe that offering opportunities outside of a single
system can strengthen the resident’s knowledge-base and approach
to different medical conditions.
We also offer our residents an international elective block. Some
of the countries that they have visited in recent years include
Israel, India, Malawi, Chile, Jamaica, Nigeria, Haiti, and Honduras.
If you make foreign or domestic medical mission trips and would
be interested in having one of the residents come along, just let
us know. Schedules may not always permit it, but it would be great
if it worked out at least some of the time.
Keep in touch!
