Residency
Program Application
How
to apply to the Emory Pediatrics Residency:
We accept applications from September 1 until November first through
the ERAS system. www.aamc.org/students/eras/
Because of the large number of applications we receive, we are
not able to interview all that apply, but we invite selected applicants
for an interview on most Tuesdays and Fridays from November 1 through
mid-January.
We require three letters of recommendation, and would like at least
one of these letters to be from a pediatrician. We do not require
a letter from the Chair of Pediatrics. We appreciate letters from
any faculty member who knows you very well and can speak to the
personal qualities which will make you a good houseofficer.
For applicants who interview with us, there is a casual gathering
of current residents and applicants the evening before the interview
day, so keep that in mind as you are planning your travel itinerary.
We do not expect a “second-look” visit, because we
appreciate the expense, in both money and time, that it entails,
but we are glad to arrange a visit if it is helpful to you as you
are making your final choices.
We are excited that you are interested in the Emory Program and
look forward to telling you more about it.
