PL-2

During the PL-2 year, residents supervise PL-1 residents when working in the ambulatory clinic and when admitting to the inpatient services at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston (Children's). They also take on an expanded role in teaching medical students.

The average schedule during the PL-2 year includes three rotations on the subspecialty services and two rotations on Critical Care Medicine, both at Children's; two rotations in the NICU at Grady Memorial Hospital; two rotations in the emergency center at Hughes Spalding Children's Hospital ( HSCH); and three rotations on electives. One of the electives rotations is call free. During the spring, a one-day retreat is held for the PL-2 residents.
