Welcome to the Digital Library Project. The purpose of this initiative to to help create brief recordings of (your) answers to practical and common medical questions in Pediatrics. The advantages of personalized audio-visual recordings include:
  • Greater information content shared in a shorter period of time
  • Ability of the learner to revisit the information as often as needed
  • Ability of the teacher and institution to influence and "brand" the message.
Our goal is to create a diverse library with contributions from every division in the Department of Pediatrics. To help get this started we are holding a competition for the best records created by faculty, fellows and residents. The attachments provided here will give you all the information you'll need to complete your recording. Here's a summary of what you need to do:
  1. Review the documents provided in this section
  2. Choose your topic/question: indicate which one you have chose OR add a new topic under the appropriate topic heading
  3. Be sure to view examples of Digital Medical Lessons as how as how-to videos on Explain Everything
  4. Plan and prepare your lesson
  5. Download Explain Everything onto your tablet
  6. Create your lesson
  7. Have a faculty member review your lesson (for content)
  8. Submit the lesson by May 30 to participate in the competition
This is easier than you may think! In a matter of hours you can create a very nice recording using this user-friendly software. We will be holding workshops between now and the end of May to help faculty with their recordings. Look for these on this websites and by e-mail. Good Luck!
