Our faculty teach and train fellows, residents, and medical students from Emory University School of Medicine as well as nurse practitioner students from the Emory School of Nursing. In addition, we are also involved in teaching trainees from Morehouse School of Medicine and visiting students from across the country.
Emory PEM physicians are active in teaching continuing medical education courses at the local, regional, national and international levels. Most physicians are PALS instructors and some teach ATLS as well.
We continually seek to create new and innovative ways of teaching and training the next generation of physicians. Some of our recent educational endeavors include:
- Monthly simulation sessions for code/ resuscitation training (ExCEL)
- Educational videos for community physician education (see links below)
- PEM Rotation Handbook for residents (Emory access required)
- Teaching special events
