Brooke Anderson

Pediatric Residency: Mercer University, GA
Research Project: Transplant-related Diabetes Mellitus management, and its challenges.

Brooke is a native of Georgia and loves this area! Her husband and Brooke have a son and 2 dogs that keep them very busy! In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, going to the lake, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs! The beach is her happy place to spend some quality time with loved ones.

Silpa Nadella
Medical School: Deccan College of Medical Sciences, Andhra Pradesh, India
Pediatric Residency: Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine
Research Project: Identify individual, familial and psychosocial barriers in type 1 Diabetes Mellitus outpatient care with the use of technology.

Originally from the metro Detroit area, Silpa was excited to match at the program at Emory for many reasons. In addition to being impressed with the fellowship program, she was so pleased to move to warmer weather and enjoy living in a city where there is so much to do. In her free time Silpa enjoys going to festivals, restaurants and other events the city has to offer.

Isra grew up in Khartoum, Sudan, and after graduating from Khartoum University she moved to the United States to pursue residency and fellowship training. Isra enjoys living in Atlanta with its diverse population, loves soaking up the beautiful, charming, warm weather, and tasting the variety of fabulous restaurants. Apart from being a mother of two, she spends time genuinely enjoy cooking, photographing, and spending fun time with my family and friends.

Nandini Vijayakanthi

Pediatric Residency: Maimonides Infants’ and Children’s Hospital, Brooklyn, NY

Research Interest: Prevalence of obesity and its association with in hospital outcomes of uncontrolled hyperglycemia and diabetic ketoacidosis in children
Nandini is originally from India where she went to medical school. She moved to the United States for pursuing her residency and fellowship training. Nandini is excited to have matched in the program at Emory University and to move to Atlanta with her 9 month old baby girl. She is looking forward to explore the warmer weather and enjoy outdoor activities with her family.

Jacqueline Reyes Diaz

Pediatric Residency: Nassau University Medical Center, East Meadow, NY

Jacqueline is from Lima, Peru. She came to the United States to follow her professional dream of becoming a pediatric endocrinologist. Her passions are to explore new places and to get to know people from different backgrounds. She enjoys cooking, tasting new foods, hiking and specially spending time with her family.
