Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition

Welcome the Division of Gastroenterology at Emory University Department of Pediatrics

The Emory University School of Medicine, Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition provides treatment for gastrointestinal (GI), liver, and nutritional disorders. As of August 2014, the division is comprised of twelve full-time physicians, six of whom are the only full-time pediatric hepatologists in the region. Additionally, nurse practitioners and pediatricians training in gastroenterology increase access to specialty care. The division includes a large research staff including 4 PhDs who along with physicians are dedicated to answering questions in this field. The research effort within the division has international scope and includes collaboration with other specialties.

The division uses a family-focused approach to engage parents in their child’s care. The division sees patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta- Egleston campus, Children’s Specialty Services, Marcus Autism Center, PACS Clinic (Pulmonology, Allergy/Immunology, Cystic Fibrosis, and Sleep), and other neighborhood locations.
